If the Call now button is greyed out or unavailable when trying to start a conversation in Aircall Workspace, there are two common causes.
Cause 1: You are not assigned to a phone number
If the message "No lines available" appears, your account has not been assigned to a phone number yet. See You don't have a number associated to your account yet for next steps.
Cause 2: Network connectivity issue
A weak or unstable network connection prevents Aircall Workspace from establishing a stable connection, which disables the call button.
Reload Aircall Workspace, this resolves the issue in most cases. Please see How to reload Aircall Workspace.
If reloading does not fix the issue, try the following:
- Switch your router from 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz and set the channel selection to Auto.
- Run a network speed test at aircall.io/speedtest to check your bandwidth. If results are poor, contact your internet provider.
- Use a wired ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi for a more stable connection.
- If working from an office, ask your IT team to review Network requirements and recommendations and ensure Aircall traffic is allowlisted.
Tip: You can also run the built-in network diagnostics tool in Aircall Workspace under Settings > Network Diagnostics to assess your connection quality before calling.
