When you click a phone number link on a webpage, your operating system opens the app set as the default calling application. This article explains how to set Aircall Workspace as that default on macOS and Windows.
macOS
Steps:
- Open FaceTime and sign in if prompted.
- In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click FaceTime.
- Select Preferences (or Settings on macOS Ventura and later).
- In the Default for calls dropdown, select Aircall Workspace.
Note: If you do not see Aircall Workspace in the dropdown, make sure the Aircall Workspace desktop app is installed and has been opened at least once.
Windows 10
Steps:
- Open the Windows menu and go to Settings.
- Select Apps > Default apps.
- Click Choose default apps by protocol.
- Scroll down to find TEL or URL:Tel Protocol.
- Click the current app shown and select Aircall Workspace from the list.
Windows 11
Steps:
- Open the Windows menu and go to Settings.
- Select Apps > Default apps.
- In the search bar, type tel and select it from the results.
- Click the app shown next to the TEL protocol and select Aircall Workspace.
Note: If Aircall Workspace does not appear in the list on either operating system, ensure the desktop app is installed from aircall.io/download and has been launched at least once.
