When you first open Aircall Workspace after downloading it, macOS may display a warning saying the app cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer, or that Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This is caused by macOS Gatekeeper and does not indicate a problem with the app. There are two ways to resolve it.
Method 1: Right-click to open (recommended)
This is the quickest method and only needs to be done once.
Steps:
- Open Finder and go to your Applications folder.
- Locate Aircall Workspace.
- Right-click (or Control+click) the app icon.
- Select Open from the menu.
- When the confirmation prompt appears, click Open again.
After doing this once, macOS remembers your choice and will open the app normally from then on.
Method 2: Allow the app via System Settings
If the right-click method does not work, you can authorize the app directly in macOS System Settings.
Steps:
- Open System Settings (called System Preferences on macOS Monterey and earlier).
- Go to Privacy & Security (called Security & Privacy on older versions).
- Scroll down to the section that mentions the blocked app.
- Click Open Anyway.
- Confirm by clicking Open in the prompt that appears.
Note: Always download Aircall Workspace from the official Aircall website at aircall.io/download to avoid genuine security warnings. Apps downloaded from other sources may trigger different security responses.
